베트남 결혼이주여성의 생활만족 및 영향요인

초록

This study examined the effects of demographic characteristics (age, education, subjective SES, length of stay, and health status), life stress (acculturative stress and perceived discrimination), and psychosocial resources (sense of mastery, social network, and marital satisfaction) on life satisfaction in married immigrant women from Vietnam living in Seoul or Gyeonggi area in South Korea. The study found that level of life satisfaction of the respondents was slightly low; Each factor in the study model explained 18∼20% of life satisfaction in these women; Both acculturative stress (p<.001) and psychosocial resources (p<.01), i.e., sense of mastery, social network, and marital satisfaction had significant influences on life satisfaction (p<.01). With these results, the authors discussed the importance of adopting a dual approach to an effort to improve life satisfaction of married immigrant women, both by reducing stress and enhancing psychosocial resources.
