초록

The purpose of this study was to conduct a secondary data analysis to identify sociodemographic and cardiacarrest-related factors influencing survival to discharge among older adults who experienced out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). The analysis utilized raw data from the 2022 Acute Cardiac Arrest Survey, which included 646 individuals aged 65 years or older. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) were used to examine participants’ characteristics. Chi-square tests assessed differences in survival, and logistic regression analysis identified factors associated with survival to discharge. Variables showing statistically significant differences in survival included gender (χ²=7.65), history of heart disease (χ²=12.37), dyslipidemia (χ²=9.41), stroke (χ²=5.20), floor level of arrest (χ²=4.29), and activity at the time of arrest (χ²=11.55). Factors significantly associated with higher odds of survival were male gender, a history of heart disease, dyslipidemia, and arrest occurring during medical treatment. In conclusion, these findings highlight the importance of targeted, individualized care for high-risk older adults and provide essential evidence to guide health policy and prevention strategies aimed at improving survival in elderly OHCA patients.
