A Study on HCI Experiences with Smart Speakers -Focusing on Z Generation-

초록

Speakers are evolving in a more intelligent direction. Advances in intelligent systems and voice technology promote a rich HCI(Human-Computer Interaction) experience. This study aims to explore the HCI experience of Generation Z when using smart speakers. Generation Z is recognized as a generation that has grown up with digital technology and is significantly influenced by smart devices. By studying the behavioral patterns, usage motivations, and interaction issues of Generation Z with smart speakers, this research seeks to reveal how they perceive and use smart speakers as a new technological product.Through an analysis of HCI experiences across three smart speaker brands, the study identifies that the primary needs of Generation Z for smart speakers focus on personalization, privacy protection, and voice recognition accuracy. Based on these findings, the paper aims to propose design recommendations to improve the HCI experience of smart speakers, while also presenting the expectations of Generation Z and directions for the future development of smart speakers.
