신생 흰쥐의 치아이랑과 해마형성체의 신경세포에 미치는 스테로이드의 영향에 관한연구

초록

The influences of adrenal steroid hormone on the development and regression of neurons of dentate and hippocampus were studied by adrenalectomy and corticosterone administration in neonatal rats. The results obtained were as follows. 1. The apoptotic cell death occurred naturally indentate gyrus with increasing tendency at postnatal day 4 and 7 and decreasing tendency at day 22 in upper and lower blades. The changing pattern of apoptotic cell death was more prominent in upper than in lower blades of dentate gyrus. There was no difference in tendency of apoptosis between in and out parts of the both blades of dentate gyrus. 2. The apoptotic cell death of dentate gyrus decreased by administration of adrenal corticosterone, which was more prominently at postnatal day 7 than 4 and more in upper than in lower blades. 3. The apoptotic cell death in dentate gyrus prominently increased by adrenalectomy, which was reduced then by corticosterone administration. Although the apoptotic cell death were not affected in all the layers of upper blade by adrenalectomy, there was an increase of apoptotic cell death only in the polymorphic layer of lower blade,which was not reduced by corticosterone administration. 4. The apoptotic cell death occurred naturally in hippocampus with a great decrease at postnatal day 22 than day 4 and 7. There was no difference between ages, layers or in-out parts by adrenalectomy and corticosterone administration. From the results, it is suggested that the apoptotic cell death of dentate gyrus in neonatal rat brain increased by adrenalectomy and was reduced by corticosterone administration in addition to the natural occurrence with regional differences in sensitivity to adrenal corticosterone, but the neurons in hippocampus do not influenced by adrenal corticosteroid hormone.
