중학생의 수영수업에 대한 재미 걱정거리 이미지 분석

An analysis of the sources of enjoyment, worry and image in swimming class of middle school students

초록

This study was conducted to see how middle school students thought about the swimming class in middle schools where provide compulsory swimming classes in physical education. This study targeted 7 middle schools in Seoul where have swimming pools, and a survey was conducted with 6 out of the 7 middle schools that are implementing swimming classes during the physical education class. A total of 295 questionnaires were used for actual analysis. In relation to personal information of research participants, there were 137 male students(46.4%) and 158 female students(53.6%). Also, 128 students(43.4%) were in the second year and 167 students(56.6%) were in the third year. It was found that there were differences in images of the swimming class depending on individual characteristics of students. Male students had more positive images towards the swimming class than female students, and third-year students had more positive images towards the swimming class than second-year students. In other words, male students and third-year students found the swimming class more enjoyable and felt less worried than female students and second-year students. This study was only focused on students' perspectives towards the swimming class. Therefore, further research would need to analyze more various perspectives of teachers or education experts and parents for a more in-depth analysis of the swimming class.
