의사소통에서 나타나는 울타리 표현의 특성에 관한 연구 －홈쇼핑 발화 자료를 중심으로－

초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyse hedge expressions on Korean. In order to explain hedges this paper was set to bypass speech. These types of ignition have all the direct and indirect ignition properties. Hedges are included in these bypass speech. In this paper, the Hedge`s meaning, it`s properties, and it`s use has been studied and meta-pragmatic analyzed. Hedge is a type of expression that creates an opportunity for the speaker to alter his or her words. The use of such method alleviate the responsibility of the speaker on his or her words, and also it allows more effective communication between the speaker and the audience. Hedge can be categorized into phrasal-marker that is revealed in the sentence, and zero-marker which is not revealed in the sentence at all. Phrasal-marker then can further be divided into morphologic, syntactic, on discourse. The non-verbal elements, para-verbal elements, and the situation of utterance does not show up in the sentence, but it is possible to understand those elements via aspects of Hedge. These can be revealed either in independent or combined way, and they add vagueness to the sentence or speaker`s intention. Based on such fundamental concept of Hedge, real utterance that have been used in home shopping program will be analyzed.
