고성취·고지능 청소년의 창의적 학교 환경과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 정의감과 학업스트레스의 매개효과

초록

This study was to examine the structural relationships between creative school environment, justice, academic stress, and life satisfaction within the cohort of high-achieving/high IQ elementary school students and to explore the mediating effects of justice and academic stress on the relationship between a creative school environment and life satisfaction. Ninety-three high-achieving/high IQ elementary school students (representing the top 4.33%), characterized by “excellent” academic performance and an average IQ of 120, were selected as the subjects of this study using data from the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC). It was found that the better the creative school environment, the more relieved the academic stress and encouraged justice. Furthermore, justice was identified as a contributing factor to improved life satisfaction, while academic stress was found to reduce life satisfaction Finally, it was found that justice and academic stress mediated in the relationship between the creative school environment and life satisfaction. In other words, a creative school environment is an important factor in promoting justice and life satisfaction and reducing academic stress among adolescents. Therefore, it is suggested that the establishment of a creative school milieu can cultivate mutual respect and open communication, serving to mitigate academic stress levels. Consequently, this reduction in academic stress contributes to an augmentation in overall life satisfaction. It can be suggested that a creative school environment emerges as a pivotal determinant in nurturing a meaning in life and heightened life satisfaction among high-achieving and highly intellectual adolescents.
