張愛玲與李善姬作品體現的女性意識比較研究

A Comparative Study on Female Consciousness in the Works of Zhang-Ailing(張愛玲) and Lee-Seonhee(李善姬)

초록

The development of modern literature in Korea and China can find many similarities in comparative literature. Modern literature of the two countries began to develop in the 1910’s, and by the 1930s and 40s, it reached its peak of first degree. In addition, a notable feature of this period is the production of the many female novelist’s representative works, which show a common aspect of both Korean and Chinese literature. Zhang-Ailing(張愛玲) from China and Lee-Seonhee(李善姬) from Korea are two of the most popular female writers at this time. There are many similarities between their works in the world of art. The outstanding commonality of their works was mostly based on the their family, with the main concerns being the critical reflection of the lives of contemporary women and showing a strong sense of resistance against the feudal patriarchal system. However, their works have different points of view due to the cultural customs and ideological differences between the two countries. The ending of the Zhang’s novel tends to converge tragically, such as the death of a heroine, Lee shows an ideological attitude to be incorporated into the original patriarchal family order. The differences in the work of the two authors are based on the difference in the two authors' perceptions of their personal choice and their compliance with the patriarchal family system. This is a testament to the wide difference in perceptions of women in contemporary Chinese and Korean societies and the subtle differences in the influence of family ideologies.
