중학교 체육교사의 검도수업 수행 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to realistically describe a middle school physical education teacher’e story about practising kendo lessons of martial arts challenge sports, and also to talk about the educational implications again shown in the lesson process. Method: This is a story about the improvement of kendo lessons performed from the early March 2019 to the end of May 2019, by a physical education teacher of ‘K’ middle school in the capital area. The research participant was selected by following the critical case sampling of purposive sampling. The data was collected focusing on interview with the research participant, observation of lesson video, and relevant documents. The data analysis was conducted in accordance with steps like viewing widely, viewing deeply, talking and talking again of Clandinin & Connelly(2000). Results: For the preparation of kendo lesson, the research participant set up a value pursued in Kendo lesson and then prepared the composition of Kendo lesson curriculum and teaching aids. In the actual process of performing the Kendo lesson, the teacher thaught the procedure and ceremony of Kendo, mixed the direct-teaching model and mutual learning style, and secured the management and routine of learners. In this process, the width of understanding of students got broadened. In the introspection obtained from the process of performing the Kendo lesson, the teacher said that it would be necessary to secure the block time lesson hours, and also to secure consulting experts in martial arts. And it would be also needed to put efforts to secure diverse teaching aids for Kendo lesson. Conclusion: In the process of talking about this story again, the educational implications were obtained as follows. First, the students experienced ‘manners’ in the ‘Kendo ceremony’. Second, the students’ ‘instinct to take their anger our’ was found out in the ‘Kendo hit’. Third, the students’ ‘embodied cognition’ was understood in the ‘Kendo costume’.
