초록
Objectives The current study examined the multi-dimensional effect of CSR activities on employees’ behaviors. More specifically, the study divided CSR activities into CSR activities toward employees (internal stakeholders) and CSR activities toward social and non-social stakeholders (external stakeholders), and examined the effect of each type of CSR activities on organizational reputation, organizational identification, and organizational citizenship behaviors. Methods Online survey was conducted among employees working in Korean companies with 300 or more employees. Results Both types of CSR activities have a significant influence on organizational reputation. Accordingly, organizational reputation was a significant predictor of organizational identification and organizational citizenship behavior. The results also reveal that organizational identification partially mediates the relationship between organizational reputation and organizational citizenship behaviors. Conclusions This study extends theoretical and practical understanding of CSR activities and their impact on employees. The result suggests that CSR activities should be considered as routine business practices of an organization. The findings also imply that CSR communications designed for employees would help in building positive employee-organization relationships.
