『봉신연의』 연구사의 전개와 서사 재편 연구

초록

Fengshen Yanyi, a mythological novel formed during the Ming dynasty, presents a complex narrative combining mythology, religion, and political order. Despite this, it has long occupied a relatively marginal position in the history of Chinese classical fiction studies. Since the mid-2010s, the work has been repeatedly adapted across contemporary media such as film, animation, and games, accompanied by a gradual accumulation of related scholarship. Building on existing studies, this paper examines how specific characters and narrative elements-focusing on Nezha, Jiang Ziya, and the Fengshen order - have been selectively emphasized or marginalized in modern research on Fengshen Yanyi. From a historiographical perspective, it seeks to outline a shift in Fengshen Yanyi studies from text-centered interpretation toward an approach that also considers narrative selection, transmission, and reception within contemporary media environments.
