한국일보사 주최 전국 연날리기대회에 관한 연구

초록

This study is about the National Kite-flying Festival held by Han-kook Ilbo. The Han-kook Ilbo held the festival with the aim of reviving traditional culture and increasing sales revenue. The festival was mainly held in Seoul, including the new government building square, racecourse, and baseball field in the Seoul Sports Complex. Furthermore, it was held in the provinces with the aim of developing the local folklore as well. Civil servants, soldiers, and foreigners all took part in this festival. It means all classes have a chance to take part in it. With the establishment of the women’s and students’ departments, it became a sports competition involving men and women of all ages. In addition, the festival is a combination of traditional folk culture and modern science.
