‘위드 코로나’ 담화 분석 -중앙지와 경제지 사설을 중심으로-

초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the Korean media leads social discussions on "With Corona" in terms of the critical discourse analysis. By comparing and analyzing the contextual meaning of "With Corona", the title, and the text used in newspaper editorials, the following points were found. First of all, "With Corona" in the 2020 editorial had a general meaning of "living daily life with Corona," while "With Corona" in the 2021 editorial had the meaning of quarantine policies or systems. Secondly, through the title of the editorial, conservative economic journals showed a strong critical attitude towards the government's distancing policy, while intermediate and progressive newspapers showed a cooperate attitude. Thirdly, newspaper editorials tend to write political discourse on the discussion of “With Corona”. In other words, newspapers and journals are making conflicting evaluations on the government's quarantine policy according to its political ideology. Finally, the negative stance of economic editorials, towards government policies, can be interpreted as its ideological tendency to represent economic actors such as self-employed and small business owners.
