초록
This study conducts a comprehensive analysis of content types and visual design elements in short-form videos through a review of literature and previous research. It identifies key visual components used in short-form video production, including duration, scale, speed, typography(subtitle, title) and design element. Furthermore, to enhance the appeal of short-form videos to MZ Generation, this study aims to identify the characteristics of visual elements preferred by this demographic. A survey was conducted targeting MZ Generation users with high awareness of short-form videos and a daily viewing time of over one hour, examining their preferences for visual elements across different content types. The analysis revealed a general preference for videos with a 9:16 screen ratio, a duration of less than one minute, and a speed not slower than normal. While the preferred subtitle placement largely aligned with the viewing habits of long-form videos, the presenceabsence of titles varied depending on whether the content was discoursedialogue. In buttom-up content types, adding filters and icons was found to increase engagement, whereas in top-down types, the absence of graphic elements was often preferred. These findings aim to serve as a theoretical reference for producing content-specific short-form videos targeting MZ Generation.
