밀양아리랑의 음악교육적 가치와 활용

초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the cultural value and importance of "Miryang Arirang", to find out what the meaning and role of "Miryang Arirang" has in terms of music education, and to present the music education tasks and application directions of "Miryang Arirang" to move forward. To this end, this study used the 'record data research method' that analyzes various historical liter- atures and data to draw conclusions, and the results are as follows. First, “Miryang Arirang” helps to understand and establish the cultural value of Korean traditional folk songs and Korean music culture and identity. Second, "Miryang Arirang", unlike other intangible cultural properties passed down from mouth to mouth, is a new folk song that gained popularity and spread nationwide through the albums of artists in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, not Gyeongsang-do, and is valuable in that it was possible to know the original form of "Miryang Arirang" at that time. Third, “Miryang Arirang” helps to under- stand the historical facts of the anti-Japanese independence movement. Fourth, “Miryang Arirang” helps to understand how to preserve music and cultural heritage and apply it in real life. In the case of music, which is an intangible cultural heritage, its value is preserved when it is actually sung and played by people. In this respect, in order to continuously maintain and preserve the value of “Miryang Arirang” as a World Heritage Site, it is necessary to strengthen the education of actually singing and experiencing “Miryang Arirang” in the music curriculum of regular schools. Finally, as Kodaly argues, 'You should dress folk songs, too.' 'Creative inheritance' is necessary through new re- invention of “Miryang Arirang.” We hope that the results of this study will be helpful to music teach- ers and students who want to preserve “Miryang Arirang” as a music cultural heritage and apply it to real life.
