‘배심원 토론’을 활용한 민주시민 인성교육에 관한 수업방안 연구

초록

This study sought the possibility of democratic citizenship education in universal liberal arts education. And the final goal was to develop the teaching model and to prove the effect. We introduced jury discussion as a method of democratic communication, and realized the lessons that can share and sympathize with the problems of the community. As a result, the teaching model of democratic citizenship education presented in this study and the meaning and efficacy of jury discussion are as follows. First, the combination of university liberal arts education and democratic citizenship education can be an alternative to the new personality education model. I showed the curriculum for 16 weeks, confirmed all the lessons, and confirmed the possibilities by running them. Second, we tried to differentiate from the existing university discussion methods in that we chose jury discussion as a means of communication. The structure of the jury s debate which has not been settled yet was able to present another developmental direction of the communication class. Third, we concluded that the communication lesson through the jury discussion was successful in the aspect of 'social ethics'.
