Learner-Centered Classes: A Case Study

초록

This study aimed to investigate learner responses in a learner-centered class to determine whether there is a relationship between learner-centered class characteristics and learning motivation, learning participation, and class satisfaction. For this study, Google Jamboard activities were incorporated into the class design. Fifteen female university students participated in the class for 14 weeks, and the survey was conducted in the 15th week. The results showed that the learner-centered class positively affected class satisfaction the most. In particular, there was a statistically significant strong correlation between learner-centered characteristics and class satisfaction, and a statistically significant moderate correlation between learning motivation and learning participation. These results indicate that we should foster learner-centered class characteristics to enhance class satisfaction.
