기혼여성의 경제활동참가의 변화에 관한 연구

초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the changes of the labor force participation rate for married women, and thus, to provide useful information on the related studies and public polices for the labor force participation of married women. Based on the review of literature, labor force participation of married women turned out to be very important issue because of the implications it has on economic, social and even political policies. In order to investigate the change and the trend of the labor force participation for married women, the data conducted by National Statistical Office Republic of Korea was used. And a simple regression was adopted in investigating the factors affecting the change of the labor force participation rate for married women. The labor force participation rate of married women was explained by birth rate, hours of labor per week, the level of education and the rate of urbanization. However, unlike the western countries, the higher education level of married women and the higher rate of urbanization had negative impacts on the labor force participation rate of married women.
