초록

For the study of methods and sites of the migration of immature erythroblasts as well as reticulocytes, human fetal livers from 11 to 23 weeks of gestation maintaining high erythropoietic activity were investigated with continuous series of thin sections electronmicroscopically. The results obtained were as follows. 1. Reticulocytes migrated into the intravascular space of the sinusoid through the successive stages of attachment, invasion and formation of migration pore within the cell body of endothelial cell. Reticulocytes migrated into the sinusoid lumen through invasion pore or migration pore with no relation to intercellular junction between endothelial cells or endothelial cell and Kupffer cell. 2. Immature erythropoietic cells including proerythroblasts migrated via lateral cytoplasmic processes of endothelial cells through the stages of attachment and formation of migration pore. Immature erythroblasts passed with irrgular transformation of the nucleus and cytoplasm through the migration pore smaller than the size of the migrating cell into sinusoidal lumen and then recovered its original shape of the maturity in the lumen. 3. In 11 and 13 weeks of gestation, immature erythroblasts migrated through lateral cytoplasmic processes of endothelial cells and reticulocytes through cell bodies of endothelial cells predominently. With age about 18 and 20 weeks of gestation, the migration of early immature erythroblasts decreased and only acidophilic erythroblasts and reticulocytes migrated through lateral cytoplasmic processes of endothelial cells. In summary, immature erythroblasts in addition to reticulocytes migrated via migration pore through endothelial cell forming sinusoidal lining. So it is suggested that the migration of immature erythroblasts is a normal process and a characteristic phenomenon seen in fetal hepatic erythropoiesis but not in myeloid during the human hemopoietic ontogeny.
