보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것 - 나노그래피 -

초록

The nanotrees I viewed looked similar to trees and seaweed, as if they were from nature. However, the object in the image was in fact not alive, nor was it natural. This shocked me, because I believed that humans were not absolute and that I, too, perceived the world bound by an absolute frame. With the support of the KAIST Quantum Beam Engineering Lab, I began my work with their images. I believe that it is possible to create images that admonish the absoluteness of the actions and thoughts of humans. The images on the columns and walls of the structures are images of nanotrees, which are created by depositing silicon-based inorganic polymers on copper substrates and subsequently irradiating them with an electron beam. The resulting harmony, not the composition, between the structures of everyday life and the chemical structures in the nano world can be seen as parallel to Rene Magritte's "This is not a pipe." This work is the beginning of a journey to search for reality - not the illusion of reality – by examining the correlations between the visible and invisible, absolute linguistic definitions, and the ceasing real world.
