올림픽교육을 통한 자유학기제 체육활동의 융합수업 설계방안 탐색

초록

The purpose of this paper has initiated to promote the quality of physical education activity in free semester system facing the formal implementation in 2016. The free semester system makes it guide to do the free selection and implementation for educational content and teaching-learning method that pursuits ‘Happy Education’. The significant change in the free semester system is to emphasize convergence education throughout the system and there is no exception on physical education activity within the system. However, to date, little attention was given to convergence instruction in the area of sport pedagogy as well as kinesiology in Korea. Thus, the primary purpose of this paper is to do fundamental research on convergence instruction for expanding systematic plan and implementation of physical education activity. Additionally, the secondary purpose of this paper is to explore themes-based convergence instruction design based on the fundamental research. For these two purposes, this paper has chosen ‘Olympic’ as the representative theme for convergence instruction in physical education. To date, there is lack of attention on ‘Olympic Education’ in Korea comparing to other Olympic areas such as Olympic marketing, Olympic Arts, Olympic politics etc. In this study, the three design models and action principles for convergence instruction have been explored to promote the quality of physical education activity in the free semester system and to actively do the olympic education in Korean schools. Based on the design models and action principles, it has been developed feasible olympic instruction modules and also suggested useful pedagogical strategies. Finally, three futuristic tasks such as the development of content standards based on the convergence models, requiring convergence instruction course of physical education activity in the in-service teacher education program, and recruiting & supporting professional associations for physical education teachers are also explored to activate convergence instruction for physical education activity in the free semester system.
