환경갈등 ADR 역량 비교분석: 한･미･일 3국간 비교를 중심으로

초록

Building national capacity in conflict management is an integral component of good governance. The National Environmental Dispute Resolution Commission under the Ministry of Environment has used ADR(alternative dispute resolutions) processes to settle environmental disputes. As the number of environmental conflicts increases dramatically, however, the Korean government is needed to build national capacity to manage a variety of environmental conflicts. Under the circumstances, this study attempted to build national ADR capacity in environmental conflict resolution. For this, it compared national ADR systems in environmental conflict resolution among U.S., Japan, and Korea and made important suggestions for developing ADR capacity in environmental conflict resolution in Korea.
