위험 통제성과 정보 형태가 낙관적 편향에 미치는 영향

초록

New risks are continually emerging in modern societies. The goal of this research is to examine the influence of mass media risk information on risk perception. An experiment with 2 (risk controllability: low, high) x 2 (information format: table, graph) between-subjects factorial design was conducted. Results show that risk controllability and the information format exerted interaction effects on optimistic bias. Further analyses indicate that the variables mainly affected personal risk perception which led to changes in optimistic bias.
