TSR을 활용한 복합운송의 실효성 실증분석 -자동차 부품 조달물류 사례

초록

Due to announcement of new northern region policy, researchers are paying more attention to feasibility of multimodal transportation using Trans-Siberian Railway(TSR). This study investigates effectiveness of the multimodal routes via TSR using real data from the case of firm A which undertook pilot transportation of car components on this multimodal route from Busan to Saint Petersburg on 2011 and 2018. It was shown that TRS operations has improved significantly in terms of lead time and cost, which becomes a basis to compete with all-water routes via Suez canal. This can be a stepping stone on which this multimodal route connecting the Korean peninsula and Eurasian region is vitalized. However the variability of lead-time and limited transport demand due to imbalance between import and export cargoes are challenges to its development. Stabilization of operations and lead-time and improvement of customs services are still required.
