불교 명상을 활용한 자기 성찰적 글쓰기 연구 -성찰 기록문 텍스트를 중심으로-
초록
This study investigated the impact of a self-reflection program that integrates Buddhist meditation and writing on participants' inner exploration and healing process. The research was grounded in W. F. Pinar's autobiographical methodology, which divides the reflective process into four stages: ‘regression → progression → analysis → synthesis’. Applying this framework to the meditation and writing program, we conducted a textual analysis of reflective journals written on everyday topics such as ‘home’, ‘food’, ‘clothes’, ‘money’, and ‘body’. The findings revealed that the keywords ‘mind’ and ‘meditation’ played a crucial role in the participants’ journey of inner exploration. The ‘mind’ served as both the primary object of reflection and a medium for bringing past experiences into the present. Through meditation, participants observed their ‘minds’ and embraced the thoughts and emotions that arose without judgment. This process facilitated inner healing and growth by confronting past wounds and traumas, releasing negative emotions, and deepening self-understanding. The study suggests that the integration of Buddhist meditation and writing is an effective method for profound self-reflection and healing. In particular, the process of articulating and expressing insights gained through meditation through writing can enhance self-understanding and promote positive change. These findings highlight the potential of combining meditation and writing to contribute to self-growth and improve the quality of life for individuals in contemporary society.
