초록
This study analyzes regional growth structures of Fourth Industrial Revolution–related industries using city/county/district panel data from 2014 to 2024. By combining growth rate differential analysis and Markov chain analysis, it identifies dynamic transitions among four growth types. Results show that growth types are not fixed over time, regional competitiveness outweighs industrial structure, and specialization patterns differ by growth type. While the Capital Region exhibits higher specialization, growth persistence varies across regions. This study contributes by empirically identifying the dynamic characteristics of regional growth processes, in contrast to previous studies that have explained regional growth based on specialization levels or performance at a single point in time.
