通泰방언 濁聲母 上去聲의 변화

In Tong Tai(通泰) dialects, there is a unique phenomenon in which the MC Quanzhuo Initial(全濁聲母) Shangsheng(上聲) tone and Zhuo Initial(濁聲母) Qusheng(去聲) tone are pronounced as Yin-ping(陰平). In Gu Qian(2001) and Wang Jiang-Ze(2020), the Tong Tai dialects Quanzhuo-Shang(全濁上) and Zhuo-Qu(濁去) were merged early due to the influence of the Northern Mandarin and were pronounced as Yang-qu(陽去) tone, and the merged Yang-qu tone were later changed again due to the similarity of tone values within the dialect. It is now pronounced as Yin-ping(陰平) tone. However, through this article, I raised undamental questions about the views of Gu Qian(2001) and Wang Jiang-ze(2020). I presented my own opinions through the analysis of literal and colloquial readings of Quanzhuo-shang and Zhuo-qu tone, the causes of aspirated or unaspirated feature changes of MC voiced Initials in this area, the assumption that the timing of tone changes in Quanzhuo-shang and Zhuo-Qu may be different, and the migration history of ancient northern residents, etc.
