저소득층 중학생들의 영어 학습 동기 향상을 위한 언어하기 활동 실행연구

초록

The purpose of this study is to help motivate low-income middle school students in their English learning through the Motivational Languaging Activity (MLA). MLA is a learning mechanism to provide students with the vision of their optimistic future and to set learning objectives to form an ideal second language self. A learner-centered action research for middle school girls was conducted to incorporate the MLA to them. In the first stage, the students showed uneasiness to conform to the MLA. As the teaching method was adjusted considering the participants’ interest and future aspiration, the participants not only participated in the class activities actively but also rigorously presented a positive attitude towards learning English.
