경기권역 기업의 수출입 기종점(O/D) 분석 및 평택항의 활성화 방안

초록

Central to the planning of a port is the forecasts of cargo volume. The cargo volume and structure of from/to the particular port(original/destination of traffic) are important factors in the requirements for the port planning.This paper is aimed to analyze the original/destination of trade cargoes in order to present the ways for the port of Pyongtack to attract cargoes abroad. 110 firms in Kyonggi-do have been surveyed by the question- naires and direct interviews. The ratio of North America in the total trade volume by the surveyed firms accounts 27.5%, China (25.2%) and Europe (12.6%), but ratio of China will be 33.7% if including Hong Kong. The possible cargo volumes for Pyongtack port to handle will be 2.1 million TEUs but highly feasible cargoes which are from/to China are 238 thousand TEUs in 2001. Therefore considering the cargo volumes are only 20,000TEUs in 2001, Pyongtack port should make aggressive efforts to attract container cargoes particularly from/to China, expanding port facilities, implementing effective marketing strategies, introducing customs free zone/free trade zone and strengthening port sales etc.
