한·우즈베키스탄 미술 교류의 현황과 과제

초록

This paper seeks to examine the acceptance status of Uzbekistan art in Korea and point out the problems that the two countries face in order to build a close exchange relationship in the future. The Korea-Uzbekistan art exchange starts out with ‘Korean Diaspora Exhibition in Korea’ and has developed into the stage of ‘exhibition of local Uzbekistan artists in Korea’ and ‘cooperation between art institutions and local governments of the two countries.’ Nevertheless, this paper, which started with the awareness of the problem that the past exchanges between the two countries have not made enough progress to discuss clear results, seeks ways to solve the problem by improving the situation through various cases. At a time where Uzbekistan is still perceived as an unfamiliar country to Koreans although the size of economic trade between the two countries is increasing, reorganizing the cultural exchange method seems to be a very urgent issue.
