초록

This study aims to analyze the current status of dance classes operated in accordance with the full implementation of the free semester system and to find out dancing teachers’ perceptions of dancing class activity factors under the free semester through in-depth interviews with dance them. In order to obtain the results of this study, by using purposeful sampling, a qualitative case study was conducted for 4 dancing teachers who were actually having dance classes under the free semester, which represents the characteristics of this study. The two key themes have been drawn up to analyze dancing teachers' perceptions of the free semester classes; dancing class activities and dancing teachers’ activities. First, there seemed to be a need for lack of awareness of free-semester dance classes in the school field, support personnel and infrastructure problems, systematic operation and process tasks and development, and there was a positive change as students' interest, interest and achievement in dance classes increased through active movement activities. Second, a dance teacher provides opportunities for various experiences, However, regarding the evaluation method of the free-semester system, dancing teachers were found to have a burden and limitations since there was no correct and detailed guideline for narrative evaluation and criteria. Therefore, to secure the expandability of dancing education based on convergence class, various classes should be provided along with other subjects. In addition, with emphasis on the importance of multiple convergence-based art classes, the strategies are needed to expand and develop dancing education.
