We have investigated the dispersion efficiency of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether (PNE) solutions with various PNE molecular weights and concentrations by using Raman, photoluminescence, and absorption spectroscopy. The heavier the PNE's are, as long as their molecular weight is greater than 441, the better capability of dispersing SWCNTs they exhibit for fixed PNE concentrations. For heavier PNE's, the dispersion efficiency monotonically increases as their concentration increases up to 3 wt%.
