초록
This study was to examine the relationships between gender, the big five personality traits, leadership and job satisfaction among major company employees. A total of 320 full-time employees of a leading conglomerate in Korea completed the questionnaire measuring their job satisfaction, big 5, and leadership skills (i.e., administrative, interpersonal, and conceptual skills). The final sample consisted of 237 males, 82 females and 1 unknown gender. Their average age was 26.95 years. The results indicated that male employees had higher job satisfaction, openness to experience, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and leadership (e.g., conceptual skill) than female employees. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses showed that openness to experience, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and interpersonal leadership skill positively predicted job satisfaction, whereas neuroticism negatively predicted job satisfaction.
