This study investigates the role of social services in older adults’ decision-making, regarding Aging in Place (AIP). It examines how awareness of social services moderates the, relationship between environmental satisfaction and AIP. Logistic regression and PROCESS macro was, conducted using data from the 2023 National Survey of Older Koreans (n=9, 770). The key, findings are as follows. First, among older adults in good health, both physical and social, environment satisfaction are positively associated with AIP. However, for those with, deteriorating health, physical environment satisfaction shows a negative association with AIP., Second, when older adults are in good health, higher awareness of social services strengthens, the positive relationship between environmental satisfaction (both physical and social) and, AIP. In contrast, among those with deteriorating health, a negative relationship between, physical environment satisfaction and AIP appears only in groups with high awareness of, social services. These findings suggest practical and policy implications regarding environmental, factors that support AIP.
