색각이상자를 위한 모바일 웹사이트의 컬러유니버설디자인 연구

초록

Recently, with the advent of smart phones that use mobile web services, many Korean universities are operating mobile websites. The mobile website of a university provides plenty of on-campus information. Individual learning is also given a great deal of weight. People with color vision deficiencies perceive color differently from the general public with difficulties in distinguishing the color spectrum. From this point of view, this research performed an analysis of colorblind people to get equitable information for the concept of universal design and for the color design of mobile web sites from four Universities. Following the results of this analysis, I propose the improved color design of the mobile websites of representative universities. In conclusion, the mobile websites of universities need to improve in many ways in accordance with fairness and the philosophy of Color Universal Design and the spirit of the web. This study aims to be useful by providing a model for universities’ manufactured mobile websites to consider the needs of colorblind people. Through this study, I wish to establish a foundation to realize the concept of universal design; therefore, it could be used in many ways in the design field.
