테러 뉴스의 서술 수준과 예시 유형이 테러 관련 인식과 정책 태도에 미치는 영향

초록

In this study, the influence of media news on the perception of terrorism risk through experiments. In the experiment, the psychological distance, the perception of risk, and the attitude toward the anti-terrorism law vary according to the narrative method and the type of the exemplar. It was found that the narrative level and the exemplar type of the article interact with each other and have complex influences on the dependent variables. The interaction effects on these dependent variables were similar to each other. For instance, unlike the low-level narrative, the high-level narrative lowers the psychological distance and raises the perception of risk only when a picture exemplar is included. However, attitude toward anti-terrorism law was highest when the high-level narrative and a picture were provided.
