Proposal for Developing an University Dance Curriculum Incorporating Software Coding and Making Competencies

초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a curriculum that integrates software (SW) coding-based making competencies into dance education. To achieve this goal, a modified Delphi survey was employed to identify three core competencies: dance data analysis and design expression, creative digital dance design, and digital dance and software coding. Each competency was further divided into four sub-factors. Additionally, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was utilized to evaluate the relative importance and prioritization of these competencies and their respective sub-factors. Based on these analyses, the study advocates for the development of three specialized curricula: <Dance Data Innovation>, <Digital Movement Design>, and <Coding-Based Choreography>. In conclusion, this research offers a strategic framework aimed at enhancing the creativity and problem-solving skills of dance majors by incorporating SW coding-based competencies into university-level dance education programs.
