Why is it so difficult to justify causal theory of properties?

초록
In this paper, we argue that causal theory of properties is difficult to justify even for dispositional essentialists. We first examine how causal theory of properties should be characterized, and then we will argue that there is little motivation for disopositional essentialists to accept this theory when it is properly understood.
