The Influence of Professional Soldier's Emotional Intelligence and Subjective Career Success upon Organizational Citizenship Behavior

초록

The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for the effective support of professional soldier by developing emotional intelligence and helping subjective career success in order to improve professional soldier's organizational citizenship behavior. For this, this study focused examining the influential relationship between professional soldier's emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior, between professional soldier's subjective career success and organizational citizenship behavior. 351 professional soldiers who were serving in the military as an active-duty soldier participated in a questionnaire survey. Study findings are as follows: First, professional soldier's emotional intelligence is positively related to organizational citizenship behavior. Second, professional soldier's subjective career success is positively related to organizational citizenship behavior. Study findings suggest that designing a support program that takes emotional intelligence and subjective career success for professional soldiers will have direct influence upon organizational citizenship behavior. The study findings can be used as basic data for the studies on the development and improvement of supporting HRD programs for professional soldiers.
