디지털 음악중재를 위한 음악의 통증완화효과 탐색연구

The purpose of this research is to explore the individual characteristics of responses to music in order to advance its analgesic effects using a digital therapeutics platform. In this study, the difference in reactions to music based on influence of personal characteristics, specifically gender, will be explored. The study consists of measuring anxiety sensitivity as an influential factor on the analgesic effects of music. Participants were divided by gender and adopted a 3-period 3-sequence crossover design. Under this structure, pain responses were measured under three conditions: ‘music’, ‘news’, and ‘control (no sound)’. Pain responses such as pain tolerance time (PT), pain intensity (PI), and pain unpleasantness (PU) were measured. In the experimental group(hereafter ‘the male group’), the analgesic effects of music were observed on PT and PU under the music condition as opposed to news and control. However, these effects were observed on PI in the music condition for the control group (hereafter ‘the female group’). According to the results of this research, it is suggested to also consider gender as a factor for effecttive use of music-based digital therapeutics.
