공공건축의 탈권력적 시도와 공공성 구축에 관한 연구- 공공청사시설의 공간구조 분석을 중심으로 -

초록

The purpose of this study is verification the publicness in layout of public architecture in Korean cases. For this purpose, selected several domestic and foreign government buildings as a representative type of the public architecture and analyzed their spatial structure. Main methodology of analyzing is making J-Graph of government buildings, a diagram of relations of all spaces in architectural layout. J-Graph is made up with unit space (node) and connection (link), therefore we can interpret the spatial structure and experience aspect through this diagram. The results of analyzing of government buildings’ spatial structure, we founded two issue. First, Korean cases have binary structure as office and public zone. In this cases, observation and movement of citizens are controled indirectly. It means that an express of governmental authority through ‘distinction’ spatial structure. While, Second, advanced cases have integrated structure. Citizen can penetrate and observe office spaces freely. Even some cases has surveillance structure from a visitors’ angle, It means a realization of citizen sovereignty through open spatial structure. Those cases suggest that non-authoritarian structure in public architecture can be a symbol of its democratic society and a platform of welfare through public spaces.
