초록
Dasan had presented productive welfare ideology two hundreds years ago. His philosophical thought about social justice can be compared to John Rawls's equality of opportunity. Dasan's welfare principles are similar to those of new welfare state after oil crisis during 1970s. The first principle is an emphasis on individual responsibilities and the social obligations of community membership. The second principle is enforcing work-oriented sanctions and incentives. The third principle is the use of private alternatives. Dasan emphasize private charitable contributions to deliver social services to those in need. Dasan's welfare ideology and principles have many implications for Korean welfare state. Instead of emphasizing public spending for social welfare, the government promote work by social inclusion, recommodification of labor, and the use of incentives and sanctions.
