「호두까기 인형」의 역사적 변천에 대한 소고: 프티파에서 그리고로비치까지
초록
This study is designed to discuss how M. Petipa’s ballet The Nutcracker has broken out of the framework of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s original fairy tale and the characteristics of the major ballet versions which changed forms through the Soviet era. Petipa produced the libretto of The Nutcracker based on the French adaptation by A. Dumas of German author Hoffmann’s original fairly tale. Meanwhile, V. Vainonen, G. Balancine and Y. Grigorovich continued to adapt Petipa’s The Nutcracker endlessly to make new ballet versions of their own. The Nutcracker, which has been applied several times with the spirit of reform and experimental attempts by these Soviet choreographers, has been created into new versions which are much different from the original framework. In addition, the importance of this study is the fact that these process of changes and improvements have continued steadily to this day.
