낭만주의의 한 맥락 - 박범신 문학론 -
초록
This essay explored elements of romanticism in Park Bum-shin `s literature focusing on short stories. First, Park Bum-shin`s literature is based on anti-Enlightenment, and it is different from the branch that called the writer as a "pioneer" or a "leader" after the birth of modern Korean literature. Park shows an aspect of the artist`s ontology as a creator of popular culture after liberation. Secondly, Park Bum-shin short stories in the 1970s show disillusioned romanticism. They focused on social reality, emphasizing the disillusioned world with realistic, pessimistic, defeatist, and a sometimes naturalistic world view. Third, Park`s disillusioned romanticism derives from the discord sense that have been formed since childhood, that is, the gap between reality and evil which is revealed by the ambivalent attitude of fear and desire for evil and death. Fourth, Park gave up writing owing to death drive and guilt. But he realize that continuous writing is his salvation and valuable work. As can be seen from the fact that `Roman` originated from the popular narrative, Park`s romanticism implies popularity in the sense that it reflects the desire of the world and communicates with the world rather than an isolated fantasy world.
