광복 후 한국 탁구의 재건과정

초록

This study aims to find out the re-construction process of Korean table tennis after the Korean independence. After liberation, many table tennis organizations were established, such as the Joseon Tennis Association. Especially, table tennis organizations such as the YMCA, which were active during the Japanese colonial are, were also re-founded again. National-scale and regional table tennis competitions were held in Gyeongsang-do, Jeolla-do, Gyeonggi-do, etc., centered on Seoul and Kaesong. The types of competitions include men's competition, general group and student competition, single student competition, women's competition, etc. Korea's first overseas table tennis tournament was the 20th U.S. National Table Tennis Championships in St. Louis in 1950. Even though the Korean Table Tennis Association and many sports people made great efforts, only one player was finally dispatched due to economic and social difficulties.
