초록
The global trade paradigm is shifting toward the dual management of preferential and non-preferential rules of origin, underscoring the growing importance of the level of rules of origin information management. With the imposition of universal and reciprocal tariffs by the United States creating an environment where the accuracy of origin determination is directly linked to corporate survival, this study empirically analyzes how the advancement of rules of origin information management affects the relationship between inter-firm collaboration and firm performance among export and manufacturing firms. Specifically, the impact of vertical collaboration (input raw material traceability management, digital cooperation) and horizontal collaboration (regulatory harmonization requests, joint development and investment) on firm performance in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era was examined, along with the moderating effect of the level of rules of origin information management. A survey of domestic export firms and multiple regression analysis revealed that both vertical and horizontal collaboration have a significant positive effect on firm performance, with inter-firm information sharing identified as a key factor. The moderating effect of the level of rules of origin information management was significant for input raw material traceability management (β=0.155, p<0.05) and regulatory harmonization requests (β=0.135, p<0.05), while digital cooperation and joint development and investment require further in-depth verification through subsequent research given their early stage of practical adoption.
