Recently, as the growth theory changes, there is growing interest in the creative class, which plays an important role in regional growth. Although the importance of creative generation is emphasized along those lines, previous studies on finding the factors of creative job choice is relatively lacking. Therefore, this study investigated the intergenerational characteristics affecting creative job choice of descendant generation in terms of descendant and parent generations. The results are as follows. First the creative class of the parent generation does not play an important role in the creative class of the descendant generation. Second, the level of education of the parents' generation has a positive effect on the children having creative jobs. Third, parents with higher job satisfaction influenced their children's generation to have creative occupation. These results suggest that the creative class generally does not take over the creative job of the parents’ generation, rather their characteristics, such as academic ability, are more important when choosing the creative job.
