Artificial intelligence technologies, including virtual reality, are rapidly advancing and transforming our lives in profound ways. While these technologies have undoubtedly brought positive outcomes, such as increased convenience in daily life, expanded spaces for interaction, and a broader range of experiences, the hidden dangers have also grown to an unprecedented extent. Particularly, AI and VR are designed to cater to human senses and desires, which raises the possibility of individuals isolating themselves from society and others. This article examines the impact of virtual reality, artificial intelligence technology, and the digitization of daily life on our society, while focusing on the underlying issues from the perspective of Zhuangzi's philosophy. Zhuangzi had early raised the issue of the relativity inherent in our sensory perception and discussed the relationships between dreams and reality. This provides significant insights into the discussion of the reality of digital spaces.
