초록

J. Wilson argues that she can justify non-reductive physicalism with her notion of weak emergence which is based on her notion of subset realization. In this paper, I argue that Wilson’s weak emergence cannot avoid Kim’s exclusion problem as long as it is read as something metaphysically neutral. If my argument is correct, Wilson can avoid the exclusion problem only if she presupposes the bundle theory concerning properties. I also argue that if she presupposes the bundle theory, although she can avoid the exclusion problem, she cannot show the reality of mental causation for a different reason.
