A Study on Factors Affecting User Satisfaction and Usage Intention in NFT Platform Service

This study aims to identify factors that can enhance user satisfaction and usage intention in the non-fungible token(NFT) platform industry, thus contributing to its continued growth. A research model was developed and analyzed by identifying and measuring the scarcity and investment value of NFT content; platform benefits sought by users; perceived risks associated with platform use; and system, information, and service quality—all of which are key factors in measuring platform service characteristics. This study employed a survey method, targeting users with experience using NFT platforms. Self-reported and convenience sampling methods were used to extract the sample, and 272 valid questionnaires were used in the final empirical analysis using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0. Scarcity and investment value were found to have a significant positive effect on the system quality, information quality, service quality, and user-perceived benefits of NFT platforms while perceived risk was found to be insignificant. Furthermore, system quality, information quality, service quality, and user-perceived benefits had a significant positive effect on user satisfaction. Conversely, perceived risk did not significantly influence user satisfaction. Finally, user satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on usage intention, thus supporting the hypothesis. This study enables us to more logically identify the factors influencing user satisfaction and usage intentions in the context of NFT platform services. Furthermore, it helps us understand the relationships among NFT content characteristics, NFT platform service characteristics, user characteristics, satisfaction, and usage intentions. The results provide valuable practical implications for relevant businesses, contributing to the further growth and development of the NFT trading industry.
